Neighbouring for Climate
The Climate Resilient Neighbourhoods program was developed to help create a more climate resilient city at a local level, empowering residents to come together to take on climate mitigation and adaptation initiatives. The pilot program was developed using insights collected in workshops to determine the program's intended audiences, their level of interest/knowledge, accessibility needs, format ideas, and content requirements.
One of my contributions to the project was a deck of 51 unique, double-sided cards organized by a number of factors including climate action topics, effort level, and seasonality of activities. A small guidebook was also created to introduce the deck to new users and instruct them how to get the most out of the program. I also created more than 50 unique icons and expanded their functionality to patterns, applying them to title pages and topic cards.
