The Other Sister is a creative studio run by Graphic Designer and Illustrator Ashley Bodemer based in Calgary, Canada.

The name comes from an inside joke between her and her (very real) sister.

Ashley’s work is informed by the spaces, people, and objects around her, and she often draws inspiration from her experience in urban planning and landscape architecture. Ashley works to communicate the importance of community, and the benefits of public space, in simplified and fun ways all people can understand. Her work is typically digital as she loves the ability to layer and adjust the composition of her pieces regularly although she does dabble in analog mediums. Her use of bright colours makes her work approachable and playful and she strives to reach and resonate with audiences of all ages.
